RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors for food and non-food items based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate favorable terms and prices with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards.
- Place orders with approved suppliers and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management team to develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory management system.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize waste or overstocking.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators related to purchasing, such as inventory turnover, stock-out rates, and supplier performance.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential cost-saving opportunities or new product offerings.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Stay updated on food safety regulations and ensure compliance in all purchasing activities.
- Work closely with the finance team to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate purchasing records.

REQUIRMENTS
- Previous experience as a purchaser or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the restaurant or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms and prices from suppliers.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented and thorough in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers, kitchen staff, and management.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and standards.
