We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal Department and enhance our operation. As a Legal Counsel, you will report to the Legal Manager and take on diverse legal tasks. You will also offer suggestions for optimizing the team’s performance and advancing our success. What you will do
- Draft, review, discuss and archive contracts of the companies.
- Research and advise on the legality of the other departments’ operation and activities (such as labor, procurement, tax/accounting, security…).
- Ensure legal compliance in the company’s management and operation.
- Report legal risks and corporate issues and propose solutions.
- Research and share legal knowledge with the internal teams via research reports or monthly legal updates.
- Maintain and improve the legal repositories, internal legal policies, processes, guidelines, and templates.
- Support in negotiations, dispute resolutions, arbitration, and litigation processes with authorities and other external parties.
Requirements
- Must be a Philippine citizen
- Minimum of a J.D. degree
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience. Experienced in the IT and banking sector and have practical knowledge about IP laws and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR/data processing agreements). Ability to conduct research on laws from various countries and adapt accordingly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Being open to working with a global team and communicating daily with colleagues around the world.
- Computer literacy, including documentation applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to Php110,000.00 per month
